Im Jill, owner and sole groomer at Waggies Dog Grooming Salon. As you can see from the photos, I'm a real dog lover and these are my two fur babies.
Having had a past successful career in aviation and then taking time out to start a family, its now that I have found my passion in dogs and grooming.
I decided to turn my passion into a career and successfully studied and passed the ipet network level 3 diploma in Dog Grooming and Salon Management, which is a highly recognised qualification within the grooming industry.

Now fully qualified, I am pleased and proud to introduce my dog grooming services to you and to offer your dog the best grooming experience possible.

I am a sole groomer which means that I work one to one with your dog and will never have more than your dog (or dogs from the same family) in the salon at any one time. This allows me to give your dog my undivided attention and give them plenty of reassurance to make their groom a positive experience. As a dog lover I can also guarantee your dog lots of cuddles, playtime and of course treats!

Our Salon

I tried to create an "at home", relaxed feel within the Waggies salon to ensure that your dog feels comfortable and safe while they are visiting. Water is always readily available, there are plenty of toys and plenty of space to play should your dog need to take a little time out during a groom. We also have a secure outside space to allow your dog to toilet should they need to.

At Waggies we only use top quality equipment to provide top quality grooms and this includes our Hydrobath. Hydrobaths are an amazing way to keep your dog's coat healthy every time that they are bathed. It uses a pressurised spray head which penetrates deep into the coat and skin, ensuring that it gets squeaky clean. The use of a Hydrobath is also a much quicker process which is great for nervous dogs, the elderly or the infirm.

Alongside The Hydrobath the shampoos of our choice are completely natural and contain no nasties. They are made with 100% pure essential oils which means that your dog will not only be squeaky clean but will come home smelling amazing!

Our Services

Full Groom

A full groom includes a bath, dry and thorough brush through. Nails are clipped, ears cleaned and paw pads and hygiene areas tidied. To finish off your dog will enjoy a full scissor cut/clip/de-shed and styling dependant on the coat type and the customer requirement.

Wash & Blow

For an in-between groom, pamper or just when the muddy puddles and duck ponds have been irresistible! Your dog will enjoy a bath, dry and thorough brush through. Nails will be clipped and ears cleaned. Paw pads and hygiene areas tidied.

Puppy Groom 3-6months

At 12 weeks old your puppy can begin to be introduced to the grooming environment to ensure that regular grooming becomes a positive experience for them. For this reason we offer a puppy package at Waggies which includes a puppy introduction, a puppy bath and brush and a full puppy groom at 6 months old.

Puppy Package is £65.00 (individual puppy sessions will be priced separately)

Hand Stripping

Dog breeds with wire coats benefit from a groom which involves a technique called hand stripping. Hand stripping is a unique way to remove excess hair or undercoat from a dogs coat in place of the use of clippers or trimmers. Hand stripping maintains the dog's original coat and keeps the beautiful rich, natural colour.
